Get Ready to GIG!
What's GIG, you ask? Well, the secret's in the name: GIG stands for Growing In God, and that's exactly what we're all about! We're here to help your kids discover who God is, how much He loves them, what amazing things He's done, and what it all means for our lives.
A Safe Space for Kids to Be Kids
Your child's safety is our top priority! Every single one of our GIG workers goes through a background check and completes a Sexual Abuse Awareness & Prevention class before they even step foot into our ministry. We're serious about creating a super safe and welcoming environment. (Curious to know more about this training? Check out ministrysafe.com!)
When your kids arrive at GIG, they'll grab a quick snack, then split into age groups for some awesome rotations. Think fun activities like Recreation, Bible Trivia, Service Projects, Crafts, and even Tutoring! We'll wrap things up with a yummy dinner and a lively Bible Study.
You can find us every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We follow the Grove Public Schools calendar, so if school's out for a holiday, snow day, parent-teacher conferences, or anything else, GIG will be taking a break too.
Trasnportation & Registeration
We've got transportation covered for Grove students! Our friendly team will pick up your kiddos right from their schools. For the little ones at ECC and Lower Elementary, we'll walk them directly to our bus. Upper Elementary and Middle Schoolers can head to the bus on their own – it parks next to the practice football field, right between the Middle School and Lower Elementary. High school students, you'll find us picking up in the PAC parking lot by the main entrances. If you've been with us before, these are the same spots you know and love!
This year, we're making things a little easier by cutting down on the paperwork. To do that, we've added a few extra questions to our online registration. This will include some medical questions like your doctor's name, contact info, and health insurance details.
After you register online, keep an eye out for a confirmation email. It'll have a link to download a super important form that absolutely must be completed. This form basically confirms all the permissions you've given us online, and it's what allows us to get medical treatment for your child in case of an emergency. It also gives us the green light to share some fun photos of your kids on our website and social media. This form MUST be signed in front of a notary and needs to be turned in on or before your child's first GIG day. (Just a heads-up: Without this notarized release form, treatment might be delayed until you arrive.) That email will also include a Registration Number you'll need to jot down on these forms.
Don't Forget Your Swag!
This year, you'll also have the option to snag a cool T-shirt (Short or Long), Hoodie or Lake Center logo hat! Prices range from $15 to $40, depending on item/size. NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AFTER SEPTEMBER 24, 2025

If you have any questions before or after registering your child do not hesitate to reach out. You can reach us in the church office Monday - Thursday between 9:30 & 4 at 918-257-5202 or email me at tyson@lakecenter.church.
Thank you for trusting us with your kids! We look forward to getting to know them, love on them, and teach them about God and His unconditional love for them.
